Licensed Psychotherapist (Full- or Part-time)

Overview

Embodied Wellness Center, a Chicago-based integrative mental health group practice, is looking for part-time or full-time psychotherapists to join our practice. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, even while operating virtually. Office space is available upon request. We are seeking passionate practitioners with strong interest and training in somatic therapies such as somatic experiencing (SE), yoga therapy, dance/movement therapy (DMT), sensorimotor psychotherapy, EMDR, Reiki, breathwork, or mindfulness. Ideal candidates are self-sufficient, able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment, and interested in the possibility of expanding into leadership roles within the practice. Candidates who commit to at least 23 client sessions per week are eligible for full-time employee status and eligible to receive benefits. Otherwise, candidates will be hired as independent contractors. Embodied Wellness Center provides a steady stream of referrals as well as highly competitive pay and benefits.

    • Complete written records for each client, including, but not limited to, intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time to time by Embodied Wellness Center or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client in a timely manner (within 48 hours of occurrence).

    • Available to maintain 23+ client sessions per week for full-time employment and 10+ client sessions per week for part-time employment, provided such sessions are available and referred.

Gratitude isn’t just about saying “thank you”; it’s about feeling the fullness of what’s already here. Take a moment to reflect on the following prompts to guide you in identifying things to be grateful for. You can meditate or visualize these things, or you can journal about them. Enjoy!

Our bodies are not meant to be in fight-or-flight long-term, but due to the fast paced busy lives many of us lead, we can become stuck in fight-or-flight, which is bad for our physical and mental health.

If you give yourself all day to finish something, chances are it’ll take all day. Try setting time limits, prioritizing what matters, and giving yourself permission to stop. Productivity isn’t about working more—it’s about working smarter.

Emotions and moods may feel similar, but they’re not the same. Emotions are intense, short-lived reactions to specific events—like frustration when you hit traffic or joy when you see a friend. Moods, on the other hand, are more long-lasting and less tied to a particular trigger. You might wake up feeling “off” without knowing why. Recognizing the difference can help you manage your emotional well-being with more clarity and self-awareness.
