A lot of people who are used to taking care of everyone else  don’t allow space to receive support from others. Maybe they convince themselves it’s “not that bad,” it may feel like a burden to others, or that they can’t trust others to show up for them. 

This is the truth:
You don’t have to hit rock bottom to need and deserve support or rest.
You can’t be there for everyone all the time.
It’s okay to ask for help.

Also, we hold ourselves to an unreasonably high standard, so giving 80% instead of 100% probably won't even be noticeable to others. How can you scale back from 100% effort to 80% effort?
