Chicago Trauma Therapy

You might feel stuck in old patterns or reacting in ways that don’t fully make sense, but you know something isn’t right. Our trauma therapy in Chicago addresses the profound impact of trauma and PTSD using a holistic approach that combines traditional talk therapy approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mind-body practices like somatic therapy and EMDR for trauma. We utilize somatic therapy to facilitate body-based self-regulation skills, as individuals who have experienced trauma often have decreased body awareness. Our holistic trauma therapy approach also includes mindfulness practices to promote present-focused awareness, helping individuals with flashbacks and intrusive thoughts stay in the moment. We're excited to announce that we're growing our team! We are a woman-owned, Chicago-based integrative mental health group practice looking to add a full- or part-time psychotherapists to our team. There is a Zen proverb that goes something like this: “If you don’t have time to meditate for an hour everyday, you should meditate for two hours.” The busier life gets, the more beneficial mindfulness becomes. It helps us slow down, reset, and stay grounded amid the chaos. Even just a minute or two can make a difference; it’s not about the length, but the practice of coming back to yourself. Start small.
