What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy modality that helps people heal from trauma, PTSD, and overwhelming life experiences. EMDR uses guided eye movements and other bilateral stimulation techniques to help your brain reprocess painful memories in a safe and supportive way. The goal is to reduce the emotional intensity of the memory, so it feels like something from your past rather than something controlling your present.
