Changing your body positioning can be grounding because the body and nervous system are directly linked. When someone is anxious, their body often mirrors that state (tight muscles, shallow breathing, collapsed posture, frozen stillness). Shifting your position interrupts that automatic pattern and gives the nervous system a new cue.

Work life balance isn't just about when we work and when we don't; it's also about how much mental space work occupies whether we are actively working or not. When we don’t intentionally transition from work to home, we carry the tension, thoughts, and emotions of the day right into our evenings. Here are 3 ways to reset after work so you can truly unwind: emotional release, active relaxation, and distraction. Click the link in our bio to read more.

You might stop working, but if your thoughts are still in “go mode,” you’re not truly resting. For more help on creating a post-work routine that actually allows you to rest and leave work behind, click the link in our bio.
