You don't have to wait until the end of the day to take care of yourself.
Small moments matter, so if you spend your day in back-to-back meetings, staring at a screen, or constantly switching between tasks, try one of these quick nervous system resets:
-Progressive Muscle Relaxation
-Shake It Out
-A Quick Body Scan
Each one takes only a minute or two, but can help interrupt the buildup of stress before it turns into headaches, muscle tension, irritability, or burnout. Which one are you trying first?

Stress doesn't just happen in our minds. It shows up in our bodies, too. By the end of the day, maybe your shoulders are creeping toward your ears, your jaw is clenched, or you're holding your breath without realizing it. That's because our bodies often continue carrying stress long after the stressful moment has passed.
The good news is that you don't always need a 30-minute meditation to feel better. Sometimes just one or two intentional minutes between meetings can help reset your nervous system and stop tension from building throughout the day.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that rest is something we have to earn. That only AFTER the project is done, the workweek is over, or the to-do list is complete we can finally allow ourselves rest.
.
You don't have to reach complete burnout or your breaking point before you slow down and rest. We all need rest no matter how much we have to do.
.
What would change if you gave yourself permission to slow down before you're completely depleted? Let us know in the comments.
